my 255xd while i make my punch list and heavily sea trial it this weekend, was looking at a few things i wanted to change or upgrade. Trailer brakes....this trailer has surge brakes. Was a lil surprised with a boat this size that the trailer wouldnt be electric. Its surge brakes on the back axle. I have a brake controller in my truck and was wondering...do i switch them out? I like the ability if stuff gets outta shape you can activate the brakes to stabilize. What about adding electric to the front axle and keeping the surge on the back axle?

Boat isn't that heavy and my personal opinion is that I stay away from electric brakes and water. I do prefer electric brakes on my other trailers though.
