Do they stay on if you shut her down, and start her back up? If so, is it repeatable, aka, they come back on again at 7-8k rpm? Does it blink a code, or series of flashes, followed by a brief pause, and more flashes?

Is the boat spitting water? Make sure they’re not over heating. Best part of having 2 engines is if it’s happening to both you can rule out a lot of things.
