I need to buy some boat care products for the new boat so I've been doing some research on what people are using to clean seats, vinyl and protection against UV. Reviews for 303 Aerospace Protectant are pretty good. I've read on some of the Boat Bling Vinyl Sauce product but I'm not sure if it has any UV blocker protection.

Anyone on here used both and if so, which did you prefer? It looks like Vinyl Sauce is more of your cleaner and 3o3 Aerospace Protectant is a cleaner and provides UV protection.

I have only used the 303. Boat is not old enough to really expect to see a prevented problem yet. It's application was not as I expected, tho. You are supposed to apply it and wipe it off before it dries. Not tragic; just more work than a simple spray down.

Mild degreaser to clean followed by 303 protectant. Simple!

You guys are using 303 on the vinyl? Does it actually have UV protection, because I couldn't see it listed specifically. I used it on my mooring cover with not-so-great results, and its bloody expensive.

EDIT: My bad; I didn't realize that "Aerospace" was different than the "Fabric Guard".

What is the benefit of this over the 3M product: http://www.shop3m.com/boat-cleaner-3m-marine-vinyl-cleaner-250ml-bottle-09023.html

I think it's a Ford versus Chevy type comparison. Very similar but the user will prefer one over the other.

And the more of the 3M product you buy really helps my 401K :D

I remember reading one members thread where he said he tried the 303 Fabric Guard on his cover https://jetboaters.net/threads/303-ruined-my-boat-cover-how-about-yours.9791/. It seems some people don't have issues using that product but others do.

303 is the company so they make several types of products. The Aerospace Protectant has a SPF of 40 for UV protection. http://www.autogeek.net/303aerprot.html

303 is made by gold eagle now. There were some reports they changed the formula, but I did not notice a difference, yet.

Ah, so that explains why I see some bottles with a different Gold Eagle label design yet they are the same product name. Good to know.

I've been happy with the 3M product.

As for the 303 Fabric Guard; it didn't ruin my cover as far as I can tell, but it didn't seem to really do much in the way of waterproofing. First few drops bead up ok, but beyond that, it soaks through. Perhaps I didn't use enough, but at the cost of that stuff, I think I might try the Starbrite next time.

The product description says that the Boat Bling Conditioner Sauce offers 100% UV protection. I just started using it, so too early to tell the results. I saw the biggest impact of this product on my vinyl covers. They are blue and once I sprayed on the conditioner sauce, they look soooooo much better than before treatment. Even two weeks after applying it.

I use the 303 products, but that is because it was the only one I've heard of at the time.

I think the protectant is really nice, the cleaner is just so so, not sure it beats a mild degreaser to clean
