2003 23 foot Yamaha SR230 twin engine Jet Boat. This boat has only one of the MR1 jet drive engines. The engine has 215 hrs on it and has great compression. Long story short, we got screwed over by a mechanic who pulled out our other good engine and gave us a junk one that looked the same. We have spent over $12k on this boat and can't afford to put anymore money into it so we are selling at a big loss. Just the engine in the boat now is worth $5k.

Please don't bother lowballing me, we are already out thousands on this sale and hoping to find someone that can put another engine into the boat. The broken engine has already been removed from the boat and can be given to you but it's pretty much useless.

Pics with the decals are from when we bought it. Since the decals were coming off, we took them all off since we were planning to wrap the boat. The boat will come with all of the tables, sun tanning lounge cushions, stereo with amp and subwoofer, and other goodies.

Sorry I just put it in the title. We would like to get $7k. Already taking a big loss but just need the stress to go away from this whole ordeal.

I thought perfect for the member with the motor swap issue. But after reading its your boat. Did you ever look at the serial numbers on the motors?

Yah my insurance said because of the age of the boat that Yamaha didn't track the HIN to the engine serial numbers so there's no way to check if the engines were swapped or not. I've had 3 mechanics tell me that there's no way the engine I posted pics of was used this year though. They said even if I were able to get it running it would have vibrated all over and produced black smoke. None of this happened.
