I’m new to boating. And just bought a new 19 AR190.
Anything I can do to add a little more power?

Ribbon delete I would say is a pretty popular performance mod. Also lucky13 cone.

This is probably going to sound harsh, but if you are concerned about power already, should have gotten the supercharged version or a bigger boat. I have done about everything I believe to an AR190 and that is a ribbon delete and replace the stock air filter with a high performance filter, mine is from Riva. If you are boating at sea level not much else so can do. If you are boating above sea level, you may want to repitch the impeller.

The Lucky13 cone won’t give you higher top speed but it will give you much better throttle response.
The only other advise I can give is keep weight out of the bow. Weight in the bow decreases speed significantly.

Other than that not much more you can do without spending a significant amount of money for tunes. More cooling, etc.

I just did ribbon delete last night. I did a Riva upgraded air filter, deleting the ribbon and used the Riva ring in place of the ribbon. Took it out today and immediately noticed a gain of between 250 to 300 rpm. Top end picked up a solid 2, maybe 3mph. Definitely more mid range grunt and the engine sounded way more throaty and less whiney. All told for an hours work and about 150 bucks I couldnt be happier. Thx again to this forum for another great improvement.

Ribbon delete made a HUGE difference for my 190.

Riva Racing has videos on their you tube showing you how it's done. They also sell the parts needed

Depends on why you want more power. Top speed or watersports?

You can get some higher top speeds by making a few changes in the boat in terms of weight distribution and things like that. The best "performance" upgrade for that avenue is a MapTuner to move the redline higher, and a repitch on the impeller. Might get you 45mph with a ton of tuning of the impeller pitch.

If you're looking for holeshot/watersports power, then the ribbon delete, L13 Cone, and Sealed intake tunnel are the mods to get. My '17 AR190 can pull my 225lb 6'2" clumsy but out of a deep water start on a wakeskate with 7 other adults and 2 coolers in the boat. It still hits hard enough to pull the rope from my hands if you're not gentle with the throttle, even with that load. Cavitation is 100% eliminated, and there is no problems with power. Pulling a tube with the L13 is plenty acceptable as well. Takes a little different technique than with an I/O or Outboard setup, but it's easily doable and the L13 gives you enough traction to regain any speed the bleeds off in the turns fairly quickly.

Don't take my comment wrong here, but the AR190 has plenty of power for the sized boat it is. With the exception of a straight up drag race with another boat, I've yet to find a situation where I've not had enough power. That includes running from storms on the water, cruising up and down stream on rivers at a decent pace, and any watersports that require being pulled behind a boat to do them. Only thing I haven't tested is surfing, but I have ZERO doubt there is plenty of power for that. If you're more worried about being the fastest guy on the lake, you should probably be considering a different kind of jet......Maybe this one...

The only thing I found there is for jet skis. Do you happen to have a link to one

As the others have stated, Lucky 13 cone and ribbon delete is the best bang for your buck on these boats. Great improvement.

It's the same motor jetski or boat.

I don't. Just look up the jet ski with your engine. Yamaha uses the same engines in their skis and boats
