Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
Try bam or bamms marine in Florida. I got an impeller from them for my mercury 240 hp sport jet many years ago, mercury only made one with a different pitch range than stock at the time. Impros in Colton, Ca and sbt (small block technologies) are other possible sources.
Be forewarned, the impeller removal tool for my sport jet was a an oversized deep socket and it cost about $60. Couldn't use a box wrench because of way the set up was configured.
Another aftermarket part to consider would be a different intake grate the standard one has 7 times and the (anti) rock grate about 13.
