Another AR210 Wakesurf Question

We have an AR250 and took the boat out yesterday to try the 850# Fatsac designed for our boat.

We could not get any of the surfers on their feet. The boat felt like a slug. We are new to this, so we are just figuring things out. We have surfed without the transom bag, but we were hoping we could go ropeless with the new bag.

850# on Port Transom, 3 Adults(600#) on Port Seat in boat, Factory Yamaha rope, Coaster Slingshot/Hyperlite Landlock Boards...It felt like the boat was dragging too much. Now I am thinking that we should have had the adults move to the front...not really sure. Any 25' surfing experience would be appreciated.

Yeah, sounds to me like you might have wanted some counterweight in the bow or ski locker. Also, what speed were you running? I was able to make a pretty tall wave at 9.7, but speeding up to 10.5 makes the pocket a bit longer at the expense of some of the height.

That is what I was thinking.......obviously much later in the day. I didn't think about it at the time.

Not really sure they weren't even getting on two feet. Crashing near immediately. We do not have Ridesteady...but would like to add it fairly soon. Everyone who has it seems to enjoy.
