Had a great Sunday despite rough waters I did a 40 mile run ocean side from Haulover to Ft Lauderdale.

Theres a hidden cove(not really) where boats beach on sand berm and the other side is the ocean. It took about 45min at 25 mph.
Hopefully make it on wavy boats again going through and back Haulover.

Loved that "hidden" cove. Did it a few times with my waverunner but unfortunately not with a boat.

Is that Haulover Inlet as infamous as all the YouTube videos portray? Looks scary rowdy.

It has its dangers but must people respect inlet or do the about face right when they know its' bad.

They closed the sandbar Haulover is know for Environmental politics.

I thought I *WAS* 'down'. I had to clear the snow off my driveway and walk, too.

<grumbles softly>

.... jealous.... I had to shovel the boat cover on Monday.... 20cm of snow mixed with 3 hrs of rain made for a very heavy combination. Broke my snow brush!

When I was younger, my uncle would rent a boat and we'd pop out at Hillsboro and re enter the inter coastal at Port Everglades. Lots of great memories. Something about buying a burger at the beachside Howard Johnson made it tastier when arriving by boat!
