Is anyone in the forum building an early Bronco?

I would love a brick nose but you probably want older than that

My first vehicle was an '84 Bronco II. Does that count?

Neat little truck. Tiny V6 that made about 17hp. 3sp Automatic transmission that wasn't ever in the right gear for anything. It could turn a full 360deg circle without touching either white line though. Bought it from my grandfather with studded snow tires and ARB Air lockers in both differentials. Thing would damn near climb a tree if I asked it to.

Mine looked like this with more aggressive tires. Oh yea, the center gray was more rust than gray as well. I "reprimed" it about once a year for the 3 years I had it.

Bronco II’s count, but I was looking for a little older enthusiasts. Not older in age. Well, the Broncos but not the enthusiasts. I mean.....Bronco II’s were cool.

No worries man. I get what you're saying. The older (70's?) Bronco's were very cool. I was being facetious with my post, I have a bit of cabin fever going on and am being overly active online today :D

I totally get the cabin fever. I get it even without the COVID going on.
I did a search and found a member from Colorado who was/has started an Early Bronco restoration business but I don’t know if he did or not. His post was in a reply from 2018.
I ask because I was wondering if there was any overlap in forums - Jetboat to Earlybronco. It would be interesting to know.

I’m restoring, frame off/rotisserie, two right now. A ‘74 sedan for my wife and a ‘71 pickup for me.

and................. we're waiting for pictures

and................ I've got to understand, your wife WANTS a '74, wow are you lucky!

This is Debs frame and motor. The frame is blasted/powder coated, 3 1/2” lift, 4-wheel disk conversion, new tank (aluminum fabricated by a friend of mine), Bilsteins, 4:55 gears with lockers front and rear. Tranny is a C-4 but built for the motor estimated HP. Motor is a ‘97 modular, Explorer serpentine set up, A/C, power steering, GT40 heads, 5:44/2:72 Howard’s cam, 1:6 rockers, .30 over, and a 9/64 Ford factory 6-pack.

My frame is at the same stage but the motor is a 408 (stroked 351).

Hmm....that went bad fast. Not sure why that last picture was sent either.
Let’s hope nothing NSFW jumps on anymore.

Scott, what is a “brick nose”?
it's the nickname for the ford body style '87-91

my 1994 is a Ford "OBS" for Old Body Style, it was coined when the "new" body style came in without the side vent windows,

Keep us updated on the build, can't wait to see the finished product,

Oh, I get it. Like “dent-sides” and “bump-sides”. I had a ‘71 SWB F-100 Bump-side. I pro-streeted it with the Crown Vic front cross member, 4-link rear on coil overs, sway bars, rear disk conversion, 351 Cleveland, Lunati Bracket Master 2 cam and valve train, Aussie heads, Torker Intake, Holley Demon 1050, new fuel cell, two pumps, power steering and brakes of course. It was a fast truck. Traded it for Debs ‘74 straight across

My buddy had a 73 bronco 40 years ago, he Wishes he still had it. I owned an 84 and a 96. I got away from trucks for a while because I got sick of helping everybody move. I got a small trailer to bring food, beer and fuel to the lake and the bronco was way more maneuverable.

Weeb. I knew a guy when I was in the AF that we called “Weeb”. Can’t remember why though?
I bet he wishes he still had it. My first one was a ‘72 in high school. Tore that truck up! Love it. Always wanted another one then my wife surprised me with her saying, “yea, they’re cute. Let’s build two. One for me and one for you”. Gotta love a woman like that!
You should check out Icon Broncos. But don’t tell your buddy what they are going for now. He’ll be SUPER PISSED!!
