On the water last week with 2020 AR190 and saw my Connext screen/display screen would not turn on. The boat started and ran ok back to the marina and all other electronics work. I’ve been doing research and what Im finding out really sucks. I can’t find a fuse to replace or any other troubleshooting advice. After 100 phone calls today, I’ve learned there are no new screens or aftermarket screens left in the world and I should order one so I’m on a waiting list in case these are produced again. I was told maybe next next summer by Yamaha customer service!

I’m looking for any advice, or just confirmation that all Yamaha boat owners needing a new screen are screwed. The part is: F4C-U8K12-00-00.

Wow most places say ships in 200 days

Do you have the small or large square screen?

Yes, looks like 200 days is what the big sites say when they don’t have a date. I called one supplier Yamahaparts.com and they have more then 12 people waiting for this screen. I would hope that Yamaha would work on a solution and get these parts made, this can’t help be good for the brand.

So I had a 2019 sx190 with smaller screen and the 2024 ar190 I have now is a slightly different screen size and model. Did you check with a dealer if the newer part number would be a plug and play option ? They may not know but partzilla has that one in stock , maybe worth ordering … plugging it in to see ??

Sounds like it’s time to explore a class action lawsuit against Yamaha about these screens. Mine failed in month 13 of ownership of my 2022 195 FSH - so out of warranty. This winter I will finally work on ripping it out and replacing it with gauges since finding a working unit is practically impossible. Between a proprietary NMEA2000 protocol and inability to supply proprietary replacement parts, they have ripped off and abandoned their customers with non-working and unrepairable issues.

What does the gp1800 sitdown use for a dash, assuming they have a different gauge that doesn’t have as many failures?

The era of modern technology, chip sets run everything electronic they become obsolete and the things they control depreciate massively creating the need to buy new again. Once all of this electronic junk started being implemented most were skeptical even myself included and now its happening. The failure rate is very premature a perfect example shined on me last night and amazes me that it still works. I have a motion light on an old garage its about 30 years old and still works at an amazing distance and out performs any one of the multiple units that I have owned.
