Any idea why this dent is on the boat ?

2024.ar195 just bought brand new as a left over. This dent looks like it's supposed to be there for some reason but I have no idea.. Thoughts ??

Maybe some clearance on the back side to fit a wrench to bolt the top of the seat in place?
 
Isn't that where the stern light goes on the SX models? I do believe they put the socket there.
 
That is the through-hull connection for boats that have an anchor light in the rear, versus on the tower.

Exactly, those of us with the older tower boats still had the Stern lite on the stern and not on the tower.
 
Makes sense. May have to put a fishing rod holder there now. Any recommendations thatvwouldnworknfornthat exact area...
