Had them on the 24ft but no such thing on the 19ft.

Shouldn't be a problem. Get the correct size, length of bar and then I would use backing plates under them, if it was me.

I’ve never really noticed anyone using them much on mine. I’d rather rest my arm on smooth fiberglass than a potentially hot uncomfortable metal bar.

I also had an involuntary swimming incident and managed to bend one down by about an inch as I fell overboard so they’re not particularly strong.
