Sorry for posting all of these problems but that's all I seem to have with this boat.

A screw fell out of the "door" frame on the port side. I then checked all of them and one was falling g out with 4 other that were stripped.

A bolt on the cockpit seat also fell out, 18 hours on this boat.

Is this normal??

@Reefdonkey - I too had the same problem. When I did my first service about a quarter of the door screws had to be replaced. It's been a while so without looking at it I can't remember my exact repair, but I do remember some new hardware and blue Loktite.

Is that bolt aluminum or SS. Looks like someone at the factory went crazy with a driver.

My new boat had several screws that came loose/out the first summer. Including but not limited to the seats hinges and head locker. I'm gonna go through the boat this weekend and make sure everything is tight and I'll probably add some loktite to the ones that continue to back out.

For those bolts that are backed by a nut perhaps consider stainless compression lock nuts. They work much better than the nylon insert kind in my experience. Insert nut joke here

I had the same problem last summer with my boat with only 15 hours on it. Every time I hit a wave the frame was popping off and wouldn't keep the door shut anymore. I didn't feel like taking it to the dealer for something so simple so I ended up going to the hardware store and bought some stainless screws that were one size bigger than the ones from the factory. I think the factory ones were #8 and I bought #10 stainless. I don't remember for sure though. Anyway, the new screws have been holding tight ever since and I'm at 50 hours now.

I only had two screws and one bolt come loose, but I had the dealer "fix" them. The funny part is that I told them not to pretend to fix the problem by lacing the screws/bolts with silicon to hold them in place, which is what they ended up doing. They were totally clueless. One fix involving copper wire strands (second try) was so ridiculously absurd that I can't even begin to describe what they were doing.
In the end, I caved and fixed it properly myself. I kind of wonder if that's the Yamaha model... piss the customer off and make them think that you're gonna wreck their boat so that the customer will just fix it themselves.

I'm with you on this. My certified Yamaha dealer overfilled my oil and left oil all over the bilge area. I'm done with them.

@MrMoose @jameskeller76 - I agree. I work offshore and watch their "Give-a-F@#ks" fly south all the time.

I just emailed my dealer and told them that I have two cracks behind my seats. Making the seats unstable - their answer: "Your one year warranty is up, YES doesn't cover that". No other offer - what crap!!

@Julian who can we talk to move this up the ladder?

That's "funny" @jameskeller76, I had my original dealer do my 10 hr service. They didn't completely suck out the old oil from one of my engines and ended up over-filling it. I had too many reasons to not trust them, so before bringing the boat to the lake, I brought it home to look things over. I ended up sucking some oil out, running the ending for a while, then doing another complete oil change before bringing the boat to the lake.
Turns out, the guy who worked on my boat had just started working at the dealership... he was ex-Sea-Doo.

Its hard to believe that a mechanic doesn't know how to properly change oil. They said that he was fired for shoddy work on other boats. That's great! I just have to assume that he didn't do everything else he was supposed to do. $500 for overfilled engines, oil in the bilge and greasy hand prints all over the place.

I have an email into them to give them a chance to make it right, if not the flame throwers are coming out. I'll be calling them out on all social media platforms.

Sounds about right.
