Anyone do CNC machining?

Yes
Most wj will be .001 to .004. Is what you are calling draft the angle in the part?
Yes the top where the water jet starts will be on size and the bottom will be +/- .005......Some parts we do it is fine, Some have a parallel tolerance that this doesn't work with...Not a bad thing. I love water jets and they work great....sorry if I was misleading you to think that this machines are not awesome!!!

Not at all!! I had never heard anyone call the jet wash effect draft. I have some customer roughing forged parts out for the Mazaks to reduce hours of machining time. A lot our new business is coming from machine shops.

That is actually what we are putting them in also....We are mostly a Mazak shop, both lathe and Mill.

Sorry for the thread hijack also..... :(
