image.jpg image.jpg scarab 2015 215 hoi. Axle is not the one listed in manual. Curious if anyone know what brand it is. Manual has. Axle that is bathed in oil. This is obviously a greased axle. One of the grease caps is broken and I don't want to wait for scarab to replace it. image.jpg

Can you contact the trailer manufacturer directly? Should be a nameplate somewhere on the trailer.

Looks like the end of that cotter pin sliced right through that cap. I can't tell exactly how that fits/screws/presses in. But if it were mine, id remove the zerc nipple on the end of the axle and put bearing buddies on there.

It's a screw on cap. So I would just unscrew the zercs and hammer bearing buddies on in place of the cap? Would bearing buddies force grease to the bearings on the inside of the wheel?

What bearing buddies do more than anything is keep positive pressure inside the hub. This keeps water out when you dunk the trailer. If you don't have them, dunking the hubs cools them making negative pressure inside and possible sucking water past the seal. Pumping grease in keeps the preload on the spring.
