I have removed the sub amp and installed an Alpine amp to power 2 subs. Now the radio will not even turn on and I am scratching my head....I need to check the fuse on the radio but with the monsoon we are having I have not had a chance. I have seen a wiring diagram of the sound system and do not think that cutting the sub amp out would have any effect on the radio but stranger things have happened.

Hmmm, did the kicker amp have standard wiring or some sort of harness?

It had a harness....It looked to be 2 power (red) and 2 grounds (black) but based on the wiring diagram it only showed one power and one ground. As soon as I can get in to it I am going to start trouble shooting to include hooking the amp back up to see if that is the issue. I will type up my findings in case anyone else runs into this issue.

Power, ground and what about line inputs? Remote wire to turn on possibly?

Correct....2 power, 2 ground, speaker outputs, RCA outputs....this is something new to me because I am used to 1 power, 1 ground....

Problem resolved!!! I hooked up the primary battery as well and all is working. I would have thought the secondary wired into an isolation switch would allow the deep cycle to work all on its own....I am learning.
