I had a severe leak between the engine and jet in the engine compartment. Blowing wAter in instead of out the jet completely. Any ideas what it would be?

only happened when engine running ? if so, i assume one (or three) cooling hose to pee holes leak, or bilge pump hose lead (if there is water in engine room )

Are you sure you set the plugs in place before going out? We normally don't see ANY water out of the bilge unless we are in moderate seas and the bow is anchored low...I can't imagine having a TON of water in the stern section unless we didn't set the plugs or 1 or both of them failed....

When you say a leak in between the engine and the jet do you mean you can see water coming in from the intermediate bearing housing/seal/shaft area? Have you sucked up a rope or anything lately? Cleanout plug in and seated?
