AR210 on the rocks at Haulover Inlet

I just watched that a bit ago. Very painful to watch.

Painful. A lot of stupid going on there. It will be on Facebook in week for $50k, firm.

The handled rope on the starboard side makes me wonder if they sucked a rope into one of the jet pumps then tried to go in on one engine.

Amazing that she handled the rock beating so well.

Would be interesting to hear the story from the owner.

You might be right. It looked like water was only coming out of one pisser at the beginning.

I prefer mine neat

I was thinking they sucked up a rope too. Also I know that water is rough, but they could have made it out on a single engine.

Has to stop watching once they were all in the police boat

I think they were going in with the rope stuck in the starboard jet. That would have had the cap’n needing the steer to port just to go straight and limited his ability to steer to port against waves that would have pushed him into the rocks on the starboard side.

Ideally they should have anchored off the beach and cut the rope out.
