I think he knows, it was just worded awkward.

Albeit no official HP numbers exist from Yamaha, going by the EPA stickers
1.8 n/a are 180 HP
MR-1HOs are 160, non-HO 140, and some older ones and some skis have the below 1,000cc 110hp.

I’m not sure about TR-1s, also haven’t been used in boats very long and there have been issues with cooling already.

The old 210s can haul butt, I have a guy on my river who shows up with extended family (16? strong, I don’t know, I lost count, lol) every 4th of July. He loves his boat.

What are the cooling issues with the TR1s? Are you referring to the FSH 210 threads who are getting their intake grates clogged up with grass?

Yes, with overheat leading to leaking exhaust manifolds.
1.8s clog and overheat just as well and those have been around way longer in boats (than TR-1s) there is not much as far as resulting damage.
They do break TCs pre-2016, but that's about it?

No question the HO engines are more powerful, but we've got a 2013 AR210. I've had it fully loaded with people and fuel. Still was able to pull the tube and give them a good ride. Even with everyone on the boat (within specs) we had no problem cruising at a comfortable speed. Sure, a 212 is going to beat me in a race, but I'm very happy with our AR210.

Had my 2011 AR210 for 2 years now and last weekend was the first time I felt a need for more power. We are trying to dial it in for rope-free wake surfing which it will now do with enough ballast and my newly installed Thrust Vector Wake edition (by JBP). Problem came when my buddy wanted to try his new wakeboard at 21mph. With all the people and ballast it really struggled to get up to that speed. Took 1 or 2 minutes to get to 20mph.
I've started looking at the 212X but have really been happy with the AR210 until that experience.
