Asian Carp?

At the ST Louis boat show the Mo Dept. of Conservation put on a "How to" presentation of preparing and eating the carp. After cleaning the fish in front of the crowd they went behind the curtain and brought out some samples of fried carp. It was very good, but I would have liked to see them cook it, just in case they did the old switcheroo and used catfish;)

Godwin was back there fryin it up! Lol! Makin himself a fish samich!

I would guess they would be good for dog feed and fertilizer if someone could continuely catch enough of them to make a business out of it.

I have always heard carp are good eating if you can avoid the "mud vein".

Apparently regular carp are a huge sportfish in Europe.

@sx210owner and myself can attest to having been hit by asian carp while surfing. I caught one to the side of the head, kind of a glancing blow and continued to surf while wiping the slime off my face, lol. Mark on the other hand, well let's just say he said he felt like he just got molested by a fish......

And some crazy driver kept running surfers back and forth through the same school of carp! ;)
