Hey gang, hoping someone on JB has some experience with bareboat yacht charters. We booked a 44 ft yacht for a week in BVI. The charter company tells us there is insurance on the boat, but we are responsible for deductibles, and damage to prop and rudders. The out of pocket potentially could be more than my Yammi is worth..

They sell additional coverage to fill the gap, but I am searching for insurance I can buy on my own. They want 100 per day for the extra coverage. Seems crazy, but the boat is worth over 1M easily.

Any thoughts or experience on this ?
