Hello everyone,

We have just purchased a 2018 Scarab 165G. We love it and are planning to get on our local stretch of water (the St Lawrence River in Northern NY) as often as we can. We were wondering whether it is worth getting a bomini to installed and, if it is, what is the best type, both simple in installation and one that looks goodf and in keeping with the "personality" of the boat. I have installed bimini's before, but not on a boat this small. As a newbie, I would appreciate any guidance and links you can provide. Is it even worth it? Could we bring an umbella with a stand and sit under it when we are at anchor (which is where we would want to deploy the bimini). I can't see a top taking a 35 mph drive too well!

We are still working things our regarding where-to-store-what and whether to install a stereo or not (we have plenty of bluetooth speakers we can bring with us). But if you have any other tips and tricks, we'd both appreciate it!

Every good sized Bimini for the 165 seems to look dorky in my opinion. It's just a small boat, there's no way around it. The best looking one in my opinion is the one that extends from the wake tower. Alternatively the OEM Bimini is reasonably ok but a little dorky.
