Boat Insurance - Boat US becomes Geico Marine

Hey, increase in insurance rates is a common issue. There are certain factors that cause the increase in the boat insurance like the amount of coverage, deductible, the insurance claim history and insurance credit score. There are different companies that will offer you various boat insurance Boca Raton FL rates, you can check here for online insurance quotes and compare the insurance before purchase. It is better to go with the maximum coverage insurance plan for the complete safety of the boat.

I have geico for my autos and now the boat since it switched over from boatus and my rates went up a lot also. I spoke the the BoatUS people the other day and they said that the geico thing is new and i forget who used to underwrite the policies for BoatUS.

Wow, I just got my renewal from Geico Marine and they gave us a discount since we've had no claims in 3 years.

My Boat US went from $400 last year to $790 with no claims. The only thing that changed was the switch to Geico underwriting.

Crazy.

Sounds like a good time to shop around.

The best price I found last June was Progressive.

I was just sent my renewal for $1010.00 WTH!
Nothing changed and went up about $400!

Shopping it around now...
