Bolster seat on new yamaha

Who is the seat manufacturer?

I was wondering about this the last time I was out. How far back are the bolsters supposed to go? Mine flips all the way over and sits on the bottom cushion creating an adult booster seat. Should it stop before it flips all the way over?

There should be a gap between the seatback and the bolster when flipped up. Second day in a row this pic has come in handy! @Evil Sports , any luck on who makes the seat? If we could get to their website, we might find their parts diagrams from previous years and current, and see the changes. And be able to point out to them what is now an issue.

Thanks Mel, I guess mine's busted too! Although I have to admit, it works better for me busted than it would if it only flipped straight up. I can sit on it and it puts me at the perfect height. Then again maybe that's why it's busted, sitting on it instead of leaning back against it.

I get my boat back today, but I won't have time to get under there and look at the seat for manufacturer data. Anyone have access to their boat and can post up some info? Is it made by Garelick? I don't find anything on their website to make me think it would be.

I would guess that the pedestal maker also makes the seat frames (upholstered by others).

If you have time, call Yamaha and talk to a product specialist to get the manufacturer.

Asked the dealer what if it fails again and he said they would call Yamaha and tell them they already replaced the part. Not sure what thats gonna do for us. Murf I dont have that kind of time during this part of the year. Bothmy companies are at full capacity 2nd and 3rd quarter, Im lucky I have time to post here

Chasing bugs and bats! Gotta make hay when the sun shines.... hope you get some time on your boat.

If they weren't busy at the same time you'd never get any rest!

I'm experiencing the same problem with the bolster as others here have on a new 2014 SX210 w/ 10 hours. Has anyone gotten a satisfactory resolution from their warranty?

They replaced mine without any issues, only bad thing is its the same exact set up so I expect it will fail agin.

Thanks for the info, I guess if they replace with the same design, an owner with a 5 year warranty could go through 10-15 seats. Seems like it would be cheaper to improve the material strength in the seat.

Most people won't hassle with it more than once maybe twice.

I dont think I will be able to get back to get a picture of the tag on the new bolster to see if the manufacturer info is on it for a good week but next time I get over there I will get it and post it here. Perhaps some of you guys can chase them down and start bitching

The manual says it is supposed to go all the way to the backrest. I think its perfect height there as well.
