Hey everyone,

Just bought my first boat (2023 Yamaha 195S). I’m contemplating on keeping it in a wet slip on the Ohio river for the season for easy access.

is getting the bottom painted with anti fouling paint absolutely necessary?

Plan is to pull it out at least once a month to venture to nearby lakes. When I pull it out we are going to clean the exterior thoroughly.

I wouldn't paint it.
Once you paint it its very hard to remove.
If its coming out often then it shouldn't be an issue
