Broken jack wheel

Hey guys, I broke my jack wheel this weekend. I was wondering if you can cut off the wheel and replace it with a skid plate?

Depending on the jack brand, many are attached with a pin. At that point you could replace it with whatever you wanted. Keeping in mind, the biggest reason for a wheel are those small adjustments side to side when hooking up.

Backup cameras have all but eliminated that need, but being able to push around an empty trailer is appreciated too.
