While on the lake yesterday I noticed the light for my blower wasn't working (blower was working fine). I tapped the switch and the light flickered once but won't stay on. I'm not sure if it's an LED or a wedge type bulb (standard 194 wedge for example). Does anyone know of the switch can be opened up to see if the bulb is just loose in the socket or is it soldered in? Checked the price for a new switch and it's $20. The switch itself works fine so I really don't want to have to spend $20 just for a bulb. I could hassle my dealer over it but it's not worth the drive to be honest. I may see if they can mail me one but given their service dept track record they'd probably send me a oil dip stick instead.

What's wrong with having a spare dip stick?
I don't believe the bulb can be changed.

I've seen those switches on amazon. And variants of. Here's one for a blower

Type "yamaha rocker switch"

Bwahahahaha that's too funny! I thought it said "Blower" too  :D. Wife and daughter might not approve though heh

@Zarrella an extra dip stick would be fine. Problem is they would probably send me one for a Lincoln Towncar, Polaris Razr or something ...

Have you checked to make sure that the ground wire is good on the switch? Just a thought.

Yea first thing I did was pull the panel and checked all connections. Everything it tight and secure. I think either solder came loose or bulb itself. I'm going to call my dealer today and see if I can send them a video of it not working and maybe they can mail me a new switch. It's not a big priority so if they drag their ass a little its no issue. Otherwise I'll just buy a new one since it wouldn't be worth driving up there and back for $20.
