We sometimes camp on islands on Lake Ouachita. Since we live on Lake Hamilton and close to Lake Ouachita we camp for the camping experience instead of the boating experience.

I know you have several beautiful lakes right where you are but, have you ever been to Greers Ferry Lake ARK.

I have been there once only. Will be going back over Memorial Day weekend. We will be staying with friends, No camping.

We like to "Camp" at the KOA at Bear Lake, Utah - Lots for the kids to do and the Lake is across the street

I like that cabin atmosphere, and having a lake close by is even better.

Love to camp , love to boat !!! I don't have any good pics of the new camper but here is one when I bought it !!!image.jpg

Love to go camping and boating!41.jpg 19.jpg

image.jpg This is one of the ways I camp with the boat. When I'm out with the guys, the wife isn't interested in camping without a bathroom anymore.

I got tired of sleeping on the sand so I "modified" my tent to fit over the convertible loungers in my boat.

Love to camp on the sandbar! Makes going out on the boat that much easier. Dont have to worry about drinking then driving. Just crash in the tent or disturbe the neighbors with 3 boats playing very loud music all night.:singing:20130914_193935.jpg

Camping with some good friends!!;)20131026_170150.jpg 20131026_170201.jpg 20131026_170129.jpg

We camp and boat every weekend on Lake Belton from mid - March thru September.

Nice Rockwood SUL!!!

Nice Rockwood....I love how you dont even have to take the leveling blocks out of the bag! Thats a neat trick I never thought of.:winkingthumbsup"

We camp almost every weekend, mostly at Higgins Lake in northern Michigan. We can leave the boat in the water and camp just a few feet from the shore. image.jpg

This year we are going island camping at Lake George in upstate NY for the first time. I used to camp a lot when I was a kid, so excited to go again but this time with the boat... oh yeah, with the wife and kids also...LOL!!! wife made that comment while I typed this...

We talked about buying a fifth wheel but do not want to take two trucks when we want to have the boat along....

Nice camper and boat! What tower is that on your SX? We have the same boat. What do you do with the camper during the week? Does it stay in the campground or do you have to move it to storage? State park or private or a Corp park? We've toyed with the idea of doing what y'all do for a summer at a lake closer to Dallas, but I think we're going to wait and let the kids get a little older first. There's a Corp park on Texoma that will let you rent a site for a month or more that we have looked at for consideration.

I see a lot of civilization is these camping pictures. :)
