Can music save your mortal soul?

Have you tried removing the faceplate and cleaning/drying the contacts? Also, there's a reset button behind the faceplate too. Hope that helps you out.

Going to try that when I am at the lake again. I found my owners manual and read about the reset button. I will definitely look at the contacts as well. Thanks for the advice!!

Also, I just read a topic where somebody said that their stock jbl head unit bit the dust. However they believed that their faceplate was still working and offered it up to the membership. so you might be able to swap out yours if it still isn't working after the cleaning/reset.

We have Xm it seems to fit our needs.

" I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died"

Here are a couple of songs that lately have been soothing my soul.

Hey gang, just got back from a long weekend on the river.... Guess what? The effing stereo went south on me!!

Unbelievable....we hit a wake so hard, ( who the eff was driving?) it knocked something loose, I messed with it for a while and found the culprit, but it didn't last too long. I'll have to do the job right. Next trip.

And the ironic thing is we installed a new head unit in my buddy's boat while we were chilling on the beach just before mine took a dive!

As to Spotify, I'll have to take a closer look....my kids use it, but where we boat the cell reception can be sketchy.
In the Topoc gorge there is zero reception.

I use Amazon Prime Music a lot, but they don't have a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon digitally mastered LP

So music was limited to the little Jawbone speaker and us singing....I enjoyed it thoroughly

@Glassman, that's the thing - with Spotify Prime you download the music at home and don't need internet when you're playing it back (I use an iPad that has no SIM card...). I'll have to check on Floyd - but I know the have the remastered version of Genesis' Trick of the Tail so I'd guess it's a safe bet...!

Ooor, you can stick to the Jawbone speaker!
(Sorry to hear about the HU - why don't these things die at the end of the season??)

It's almost as if post #23 foreshadowed post #25. Eerie.
