Can you beat this monday??

I have actually seen the ocean almost that glassy. There were a few times in the middle of the Caribbean we would muster on the fan tail early in the morning and it would be that flat and glassy. Below is a pic at sunset around one of those times. It was either the morning of this pic or the next morning I remember it being glassy, the Captain decided to have a swim call, which is un heard of for a nuclear guided cruiser. In the photo of the swim call there are 2 shark watches with rifles in the boat. There were also shark watches on the signal bridge looking down that had rifles.View attachment 10027

Oh yeah I've seen it that flat. Not quite the same though. Nice

This comes real close. Monday night on my private glass river.

Those are some amazing pics guys. Thanks

It's very very rare to have a flat day on the ocean. I took these two photos from my jet ski off the coast of Southern California between Ventura and Santa Barbara.

Still not perfectly flat like the OP's photo.

This one was taken between San Pedro and Catalina Island.

@BigN8 Is that you in your swim pic (reflection in glass)? In bandages?
Good God I hope not.

Great picture! Thanks for sharing!

In your picture I see what appears to be a head wrapped in gauze bandages reflecting off of the glass.

Not sure what that is. This was a scan of an old photo, so I am thinking it's some sort of smudge! Looks creepy though!!

Dude! I want these exact gps coordinates!
Got those all of the time in Naples. The Gulf rules when we have an offshore breeze.

That photo was taken on the Gulf side of Shell Island, probably about 2 miles East of the pass. I don't think I've been out there when it was that smooth again but very close several times!

That picture was truly amazing!
