We always test both engines at the ramp to make sure they start and run before dropping the boat in the water. I had my 7 year old hop into the boat and do this for me, but she did not hold the key in the start position long enough for them to start, both motors just kind of burped, but didn't start all the way. I had her try again and they started up just fine and ran for a few seconds. Once we got the boat in the water, I had check engine warnings for both engines with the constant alarm tone that comes back after pressing silence. I shut off the boat and restarted both engines and still had the CELs. I cycled the boat again and then the CELs did not return. We went out for the day and didn't have any issues at all. I know there is a page in the connext where you can see CEL codes, but could not remember at the time how to get to it.

Were the CELs likely related to my daughter not letting the engines start all the way? We haven't had any issues with the engines otherwise.
