I am thinking the new 2021 252XE and 255XE are out of my comfort level price wise so I’m going to look for a used 242X.

I think i saw somewhere that they changed the nozzles or some other change to improve handling for 2019 242X???

I really like the look of the 2018 but didn’t want to miss out on an improvement (if there is one)....

Any help with the 242X changes from 2016-forward would be great (and if there is a year to stay away from).

2019+ did get a change to the reverse buckets that greatly improves maneuverability while using reverse.

For the 2018 and earlier boats, you can get JetBoatPilot's Lateral Thrusters to get the same (or arguably better) functionality for a few hundred bucks.

In 2018 they went to the 12.3" Connext screen and a phone holder on the dash. Prior to that it was the 7" Connext screen with twin tachometers on the dash. I'm sure there were other changes made in the 2018 model, but that's the one that stuck out in my memory.
