Finally got the sea trail done. I should be getting everything cleared and bring the boat to its new home in 3 weeks time. Then starts the work of getting the boat Bimini ready, learning new controls etc etc. ... I will soon announce my Bimini date for 2018 once I have the boat in my hands (too superstitious to announce beforehand).

Congrats! She is a great looking boat.

Whats the engine?

That's some nasty weather for a seatrial. Glad you got it done and things are working out. She's a beauty!

Who's Excursion! Is a heavy duty truck needed? Hopefully you have that covered.

Awesome boat and congratulations. Hmmmm..... my wife would love a bigger boat. Not really but she would like a big boat better than a little boat. That boat is going to be incredible on a jog over to Bimini

How many gallons of fuel is the tank?
I am sure she is a thirsty girl!

Beautiful boat, good luck with it!

The excursion is the sellers representative. My F150 platinum can barely tow it. I plan to change my tow rig to a diesel next year. A heavy duty truck is definitely needed. The combined weight with trailer comes close to 10000 pounds.

Nice, cant go wrong with that package.
That lower leg is Bullitt proof and easy to service, just heavy
Thanks. The only issue I see is that there was a recall for this engine from Volvo due to the bellows failing under load. I think I have to change them as everything is original in this boat.

Thanks. I sold my Yamaha and got this boat for the sole reason that my family wants to make the trip to Bimini by boat and I want the biggest and most comfortable and safest boat that I can tow. I got lucky and found this boat.

It is a 79 gallon tank. During the sea trail this boat comfortably hit 42 mph in the rough waters. The seller rep told me that the boat will easily hit 45+ in calm waters on a perfect day

Hey buddy I love that boat beautiful man congratulations I also like that truck man old-school very good vehicle how you been hope you're doing well we need to talk.

Hi Junior. We will definitely talk tomorrow. I will text you or message you sometime in the afternoon.

What an awesome boat Amar! Congratulations and I wish your family many great memories with her. Does she have a name?

Thanks Rick. The kids are yet to name the boat. I wanted to name it after my gorgeous bride, but the kids felt that name is too boring and refused that name. So they are coming up with names.
So far the one I like is “wave shredder”. Still giving them time to come up with creative names from their creative minds :)

Congrats! Love the color. The f150 can be a towing beast with the optional (even optional
on platinum models) heavy duty towing package. That package includes tires, axle, suspension and more. If your truck does not have it then you are likely to break something or have a tire sidewall blowout with the standard platinum package only rated for around 7k lbs as I recall. Even if you have the package towing in the wind won’t be fun which brings my next cautionary advisement. The 12k rating on the current F150s with the heavy duty tow package is dependent on load leveling sway control bars. Those work fine on campers, car haulers and the like but I don’t think you will be able to get those on that trailer with the extend center beam style tounge.

Again great boat and I truly don’t want to sound like a nay sayer. If you already knew then great if not then hopefully it prompts some more research as your posts indicate family safety is a concern for you and we would not want to see you get hurt or that new to you boat damaged.

Thanks for the info @Mainah . I have 5 miles between my boat parking place and the launch dock. I figure if I am careful then I might be able to go to the launch dock and back. For the trip to Fll for the Bimini trip I plan to rent a heavy duty truck for that week and tow it to Fll. I have to change my tow vehicle in 2019 anyway and will get a heavy duty diesel then.
