Hi Everyone--
I have a 2008 SX 230 and the "piston" device which holds open the clean out plug compartment is not functioning anymore. Can anyone tell me the actual name of this part so I can get it replaced?
Thank you,
Dan

You mean the t handle won't lock down just put EZ locks on the plugs you can not get the internal parts you would need to get a new clean out plug and that on E bay is just over 200 dollars and then you still need the EZ locks to prevent the plug from releasing without warning , All Yamaha jet boats from the model year 2000 to 2016 have what is called the BLOW OUT PLUGS cheap Insurance against serious damage to your rear hatch or an engine if it ingests water when a plug fails. Cobra EZ-Locks ezlocks
and

is it currently out of the boat or locked in the tube ??

haaa I think he means the hatch lift hatch strut whatever the name is

ok so when you fix it also add EZ locks to those plugs seriously!!!!!!!!! you may be able to take the strut to an automotive parts store and find a replacement from one of many they will have in stock I do that with P W C hood struts.

I would like to purchase the F1C-U2896-10-00 strut and be able to prop my clean out compartment open. It appears that the F1C-U2896-10-00 part itself is just the strut. Does anyone know the part number for the top and bottom brackets that the strut attaches to? Presently I just have holes where the brackets should be...
