Cleaning stained vinyl

Hello all,
So I ended up moving back to Maine at the end of last year. Long story short, we had a bit of a loaded caravan going on, so a few lighter items went into the boat, including a spare set of tires. Unfortunately one of them wasn’t wrapped, and in getting the boat ready for the summer I found this lovely tire stain on my vinyl. Any suggestion on getting that cleaned?

I’ve had good luck with simple green on the vinyl.

Barkeepers Friend. Comes in powdered or a cream. I have mixed a little of the powdered into the cream when I needed a little more abrasion than the cream delivers.

My wife just did a deep dive clean on our interior and OMG it looks amazing. What really put it into perspective was she didn’t do the filler cushions and we pulled them out for the kids a couple weekends ago and holly smoke, they looked like they where a completely different color. All she used was these.

I was a bit dubious about this when I ordered it, mainly due to the price. The performance however is great. I thought I had thoroughly cleaned my Aigle Wellingtons but Meguiars took off even more dirt and a good month on they still look great due to the excellent condition.

Folks, I'm late here on posting the name but here it is: Boat Bling Vinyl Sauce Vinyl Cleaner. I have used a few times to clean my former pontoon vinyl with excellent results.

@Mac’nCheese any luck I’m in the same boat. Put the spare in the boat for the ride home and looking at a ring in the vinyl.

I saw lots of great reviews on 303 products and decided to give it a try. I used a small brush and towels and got all the small scuff marks out of the vinyl easily. After cleaning the vinyl I went over them with the protectant and they look like they did the day I picked it up at the dealership.

I’m going to get beat up for this but I’ve always used a little paint thinner for spots that will not come off, learned it from an old upholstery guy. Never have had damage from it and takes the spots right off.

No beat-up here. But, I would put that in the category with the Magic Erasers: it may work well, but used to excess you may have some future poor results. I would a) try it on a hidden part first (like the bottom of one of the cushions at the edge) and b) if it seems ok, use sparingly and be sure to rinse/wash completely after the stain is off.
