Anyone find a product that is relatively easy to work with and that i don’t have to wear a full hazmat suit to clean thick hard water scale off the bottom of the boat? Our boat lives on a lift and we keep most of it waxed and hot sauce in between, but we don’t really get the bottom so there is a thick hard water scale on the bottom. I’d like to clean it off so it doesn’t continue to build up. Tried scrubbing with vinegar which works a little bit. You can actually scrape off bits with a finger nail. What product should I use? Attached a couple pics.

Have you tried CLR? I have friends with hard water from wells and it removes lime scale and iron deposits. I have no idea how expensive it would be for large surfaces.
