I know some of you must be able to sympathize with me on this.. wife wants to add pinstripes to add more color to the bow of the boat both sides  (black and yellow to match existing). Anyone had experience doing this and if so how did you color match to the boat decals? I'm concerned that any vinyl striping I buy will either not match, fade, and/or peel; any of those will just make the boat simply look like crap.

If it were me and it were my wife, I'd uh, ahem....she don't like pinstripes. So let's talk about your boat.

The bow typically gets wet. Wet means spots and stuff. Means it will be getting wiped, a lot. Won't be long before it takes a toll on vinyl stripes.

I would consider having the pinstripes painted on. Adds a whole new dimension.
