Hey guys was thinkn about doing a compression test on my boat was wondering does it need to be warmed up or hot or can you do it cold and from what I can find 164 is the base number any help is greatly appreciated

I believe you do it cold, when people buy used non-running engine, they do compression test. When I had my compression tested on my previous non-jet boat before I purchased it, mechanic did it cold too.

be sure the throttle is wide open when you do the test

Ok thanks for the help guys am I right on what the numbers should b

165 plus or minus 5 psi
