Hello, I have a 2019 212x. Last year when I turned the key one click the connext system would start up. Or after I shut the engines off I could keep the key in acc mode and it would stay on. Now after I shut the engines off no matter where the key is the connext turns off after a minute. Battery levels both read good on the screen. Any ideas?

Double check those batteries with a meter. Probably not your connect power on problem but I have to say that in my experience the connext readings are wildly inaccurate.

Curious as to why you'd want it to stay on? There are times when I pull it out of the water and quickly start the motors and blip them, that the screen stays on. Which mean I have to turn the key to ACC a second and back off before it'll turn off automatically. For me when I'm floating I want as minimal battery drain as possible, including that screen. Only thing I want on, which I rarely even turn on, is the radio.

Unless things changed somewhere, our boats don't have an accessory key position, just off / on / start. When the keys are in the on position, the fuel and engine control system is charged and ready to run the engines, as well as all other electronics.

So there's a couple ways to get the radio on while floating and not have the keys on with boats with the Fusion head unit. First you can walk to the stern and press the power button and the radio will fire up but you don't have any joystick or Connext control. Secondly you can turn one key back on just long enough for the Connext to light up - then turn the key off. The Connext will continue to boot and then you have usual control from there but none of the fuel and engine system is on. The second method is what I use as it allows me to use the joystick controller and I can see battery levels. The Connext is not bad on battery consumption in normal float mode and the house battery could run it like that for days. Stereo amplifiers are what drain the battery when cranked.

Yup, do this. Just push the power button on the radio. It'll turn on and boom, you have radio. No need to use the connext for that.
