2024 fsh here my steering cables went bad over the winter , going to replace .. any idea whats best sealant I should use inside and out ? yamaha had a black sealant on there from factory seems a little tougher than silicone but not as strong as 4200

thanks

I use black automotive rtv sealant. Its Toyota FIPG gasket sealant. It's my goto for sealing anything that might need to come apart

If you need black… Amazon.com

I really like life-seal. It is rated for above and below the waterline. I have used it for bedding fittings and acrylic. A silicone/polyurethane mix that is more firm than silicone similar to 4200 in firmness. Don’t confuse it with life-calk, I have never used that.
