I just picked up a 2020 AR190 with 140hrs on it. Everything seems perfect on the boat with exception to the corrosion I see in the tunnel and on the inside of grate. The original owner had it in the saltwater for the first few weeks then exclusively fresh water. The outside of the pump and keel/rudder have only very small signs of this corrosion. Again, everything else runs and works perfect. Is this normal wear or should I be worried / checking anything else?

How do the anodes look? It would be a rectangular block of metal attached to the left side of the jet nozzle.

There were two stacked together that I relocated during cobra jet install

My boat has never been in salt, fresh or brackish water for more than a few days at a time so I defer to others to answer if what you are experiencing is normal.

it looks like surface rust too me.You could probably remove it all with a few passes of a Brillo pad or sand paper but I don’t think I would bother if it isn’t hurting performance. Appearance wise wouldn’t matter too me either since no one would know about it but me. It’s very rare for anyone to look up my intake(s) or examine my shaft(s).

clarification: my boat’s intakes and shafts.

Thanks @Ronnie!
