Hey everyone...

After two seasons my shipping cover has seen better days. I purchased the deluxe premium mooring cover for this summer. Would rather not have that cover see, dare I say it, snow.

What are y'all cover set ups for winter for us in the north? Universal cheapo from Overtons? Shrink wrap? Shipping cover over the deluxe?

Would rather not shrink wrap as I have some to dos over the winter on her.

I found a nice barn with concrete floor for the winter, but I still put the shipping cover over the premium mooring cover. I think that would work well for keeping it outdoors as well.

When i used to be up north i would use a mooring cover and covered that with a tarp so that the snow would slide off easier.
Instead of using the anti pooling poles i would use a stack of milk crates zip tied together with a folded towel in the top crate as to not tear the cover

I purchased my own equipment to shrink wrap it myself. Still have the shipping cover for emergencies though.

I did the same. You can put a door through the shrinkwrap so you can get inside for those winter projects.

I do something similar...mooring cover with tarp over it, but I got some PVC pipe (I guess it's 2 or 2 1/2 inch) cut a little longer than the anti-pooling poles and I slip the poles inside. The plastic spider that the straps are attached to rests on top of the PVC. That way I have a rigid pole to support the cover and tarp. I also put a square of rubber mat between the PVC and the deck so it doesn't slip.

Purchased at Menards and took a day and a half to put up. It has lasted 3 years so far and I would defiantly buy it again! Only down side is it detracts from the neighborhood. I have since moved this unit back into the back yard farther so it isn't seen from the road unless you really look for it.
