Hi
I have a 2015 212x. I am looking to do some audio upgrades as I have mentioned in a previous post. The boat is in storage right now so I cannot easily get access to see exactly what I have onboard from the factory. I am looking to replace the speakers which I believe currently are 6.5" Polk and possibly add 2 more + a sub. My question is does anyone know if this model has an amp that comes with the boat or are the speakers powered from the deck? I'd like to purchase everything I need ahead of time so I can be ready with a plan when I get access to the boat. As well, any other recommendations would be great. I am not looking for the rest of the bay to hear my sound, just want to make the sound better while underway.
Thanks

My 2017 212X has a Polk 5 channel amp. Not the greatest but ok. I actually upgraded to with couple more but only because I got them cheap. If I was starting from scratch I’d get JLs or Wetsounds.

I had 6 Polk speakers, a sub and a wetsounds sound bar. I replaced the sub with a JL and also added 2 more cabin speakers by the front seats.

I also changed all the wiring and moved the amps under the helm. Lots of work but a good project.
