Custom bracket for a Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor on a 2005 SX230

My friend Andrew and I used a swivel down-rigger mount and added a top bracket to make it level. We also re enforced the area by the anchor in back of the light with a 5/8 PVC board under the anchor door. The mount comes off with the quick release. Great addition to get threw heavy channels with seaweed, fishing etc.

Nice. Might consider replacing the plywood with a hunk of starboard or a hunk of cutting board. That would be more waterproof.

It’s actually part of one of the two mounts I combined to make this. It’s not plywood it seems to be a solid wood like piece and has some kind of coat on it. I used these two mounts to make this. The swivel pedestal could have had another cheaper option attached but it worked out fine and let me go over the light and bow with only 4 screws on the boat. The swivel mount bottom is the only thing that stays on the boat when I quick release. I also used a 24v 100Ah lithium battery pack instead of two lead acid batteries so it’s portable on and off the boat. Pic attached. And links of the mounts used.
