I noticed that the rubber boots (where they enter/exit the hull) on both of my reverse gate cables are damaged....anyone else have this happen? I'm not seeing a part number in the service manual. Wondering if this needs to be replaced or not. doesn't seem like it's doing much and would be easily damaged again even if I replace them.

I have this issue on my AR230, except the boot is completely gone on the port side.. Been waiting until the off-season to really look into replacing it, so I’ll be watching your thread as well!

Same thing happened to my 2019 AR195. I think there isn't a separate part, so the dealer had to replace the entire cable. It was under warranty so I didn't push into the details. If you still have warranty left, I'd push a dealer to replace it!

But in the meantime, I don't believe it will hurt anything (aside from prematurely damaging the cable from water intrusion/corrosion, but the cable will be replaced anyhow). It won't cause water intrusion into the boat. So you should be able to use it for the rest of the season.

just closing this thread out....sent pictures to my dealer and they will be replacing the entire cables under warranty.

Both of mine are split and have been that way since delivery. It looks like the working angle of the cables is too steep so the boots get split on the cable housing. They need boots that are more robust.
