I'm installing a humminbird HDR650 depth finder in my 2019 Yamaha SX190. The dash does not offer much space to add a gauge. There is currently a 12V adapter plug on the dash, which I'm going to remove and, instead, install the depth gauge. I'd like to still have the 12V adapter, but it really serves no purpose on the dash. My thought is to just install it under the dash where it's out of sight, but still accessible. I'm by no means a handy man, but it's a pretty basic process that I can handle.

My only question relates to electrical wiring. Am I able to attach both the depth finder and the 12V adapter to the same set of wires for power? I assume I can just split the pos and neg wires and then use them to power both devices, but figured it's worth asking before I start messing with electrical. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks
