Do you all have any suggestions for some sort of partition that can be put in to keep a dog/kid out of the front of the boat? We have a puppy that constantly paces the boat and is 1 wake away from going into the water off the bow. I figured there was some sort of foldable gate out there but im not finding anything.

something like this would be fantastic

Wonder if you could source some starboard, and creat a hinged air damn that you could slide into some channels.
When not in use, remove, fold and stow.

If you are not following, I believe the air dam is standard with the larger boats. Might want to look at a few of the 21,22 and 25ft line to see how they have it fashioned, however one side is permanently mounted to the side of the helm/console.

Not sure if this will help, but what I do is hook my dog’s leash to the windshield brace (or wherever) with a fastener. It doesn’t keep the dog out of the front but keep’s him inside the boat at least. It’s really quick and convenient. I’ve also found the dog really never goes overboard until we stop. That’s it’s cue I guess to jump in, so I make sure he’s tied down before then.

I think a leash is the best option to keep the dog from walking around too much...never know when they get a scent of something that makes them react out of sorts.
