Do you carry spare fuses on board? I haven't even looked to see where my fuses are located on my boat, nor do I know whether Yamaha included spares in the fuse panel(s).

Yup. All sorts of em! Had one blow by the battery. A 20 amp blade fuse. Couldn't find one at marinas nearby so had to get to the gas station and now i have a multi-pack on board. I also carry the real big ones (maxi?) For my amps.

We all carry some - there is a whole raw of spares inside the fuse box by the ECU, and a tool. But I don't know is that covers everything. Not my amps, that I know :cool:.

Yes.

@Speedling carries real big Maxi's . . . . o_O

Yes, and just about anything to fix an electrical issue such as extra wire, crimp connectors, wire nuts, electrical tape, etc.

I carry a wide assortment of fuses on board, I only carried (past tense) the smaller sized blade style fuses because that's all I though the boat used in the fuse box. Then one day I decided to play with the ground on my radio without turning the batteries off, of course something popped and after I checked every fuse on the boat, or so I thought I discovered there is a fuse on my 2011 right next to the battery that is a larger 20A blade fuse. After that I went to lowes and bought a small kit that has everything needed for a electrical emergency.

So do our boats use ATC fuses only? I know that some of you are thinking "Just go look yourself." Boat is 45 minutes away, and I'm at WalMart right now. I'm looking at some Bussmann fuse repair kits. I'm seeing the following types: ATC, ATM, FMX, MAX, and ATM-LP. ATM fuses are smaller than ATC. FMX isn't blade style; it's more like a cartridge. Maybe I'll just get them all. They won't take up much space.

Keep fuses and a couple extra circuit breakers.

Bussman is good. I was saying to avoid some of the other fuses you can buy. If you're getting 250 fuses for $4 it's probably not quality stuff.
