I want to get a camper enclosure on my 2025 Yamaha 222XE. I went to a specialist that has been making them for decades. Two guys looked at my windshield and said they had never seen anything like it (however the vast majority of boats they do enclosure for are 30+ ft). They don't know how they can attach a camper enclosure to the top of the windshield because it has a "frameless design" (their words). Apparently most boats have a thicker frame around the windshield that is designed to hold come kind of clip.

Has anyone experienced this issue or does anyone have a solution?

Below is a picture of my windshield. All around it the glass runs almost to the edge of the windshield. I'm guessing older Yamaha's are not like this because I've seen a few with camper enclosures on this forum.

sorry for bad pic, I don't have boat with me right now, I cropped this from a different pic

I was just watching a video of a Scarab 215 and noticed it has the same style windshield as my Yamaha (the top parts are the same):

Definitely not the same as older frames. The new ones look more like an automotive glued in glass

Thank you, I'm doing more research into those adhesive studs to see if they will work.

They worked good for the 3 years we used them on our Beneteau. I did swap them out for a screw type snap stud, when I needed to adjust their final placement for the sun screens. Search snads here for my use of them.
