Doctors Lake/St.John's River Boating

I will be relocating to the Jacksonville,FL are in about 40 days. I just purchased a home in Fleming island, and I am curious how the boating is. My home is right next to Whitey's Fish Camp, and the dock/ramp opens to the Doctors Lake Inlet.

Im exited, and glad to finally leave South Florida. I get to see the seasons change again!

Welcome to the neighborhood! I'm across the river from you near Julington Creek/Old Bull Bay. You're in a good spot, but it takes a while to get to the river from where you are. Be cautious in the no-wake zones around there... the local water police are completely unforgiving and are almost always hiding somewhere near the bridge under 15 or behind a dock at Doctor's Lake. It's a popular area due to Whitey's, so it's easy pickings for them.
Don't know how to say this, so just going to put it out there... be picky about your of the food at Whitey's. The past two or three times we've been it was an "interesting" trip back at full throttle... for everyone. :S
